Introducing our new service – The W Mentor

I have offered wedding planning and styling sessions as a consultancy service since the beginning of my business. It has become clear recently however, that a slightly more in depth wedding planning consultancy service would be useful. One that allows you to retain control over the process, but with the close guidance of a planner. I have therefore tweaked my existing consultancy service to offer The W Mentor.

A unique alternative to full wedding planning, I will guide you through the wedding planning process – creating action plans for you to implement yourself and helping you to stay on track with what needs to be done.

What do you get?

1. Regular calls with me

Up to 8 x 1hr zoom calls where we will discuss what needs to be done at each stage of your wedding planning. From these I will create action plans for you to focus on what needs to be done, when. We will also go over your progress from the previous calls and make sure that you remain on track and that nothing is missed.

2. Concept design and styling advice.

Using my exclusive ‘Finding your Wedding Style’ questionnaire as a guide, we will get to the heart of your wedding style – your likes, taste and vision for your day. I will then help you to design how your day should look and feel and how you should prioritise your budget accordingly.

3. Personalised Pinterest Board

I will set up a private, categorised Pinterest board for you to save your ideas and inspirational images. This will be shared with me so I can add ideas that fit with your style.

4. Digital Moodboard

Using your Pinterest board and style questionnaire, I will put together a digital moodboard, including colour palette, for you to use as a visual guide to translate your vision to your wedding suppliers. This should be used to reflect the general ‘look and feel’ of your day rather than the exact design, but will give your suppliers clear direction when designing their aspect of the day.

5. Personalised Trello board.

A dedicated place for you to store quotes, contracts and invoices. Check items off the wedding planning checklist. And keep a note of who is taking on which tasks. It is a very easy management system, accessible from any of your devices so you have everything to hand wherever you are. I will provide full training if required. I will also have a view over the board so if I see anything that you might need a little help with, I will message you.

6. Downloadables

As well as Trello, I will provide you with the documents that I use for all my weddings. These will help with budget planning and management, timelines and schedules.

The budget spreadsheet template will help you to keep on top of what is being spent, on what and when invoices are due. And it will also help you to prioritise your budget and allocate an estimated expenditure on each area of your wedding.

The wedding day schedule template will help you organise your day and your suppliers and give you a document to hand to whoever will coordinate everything on the day. This essential wedding day document will prove more useful than you realise!

7. Supplier recommendations

The most important aspect of wedding planning (besides your budget!) is finding the right people for your team. I will make suggestions for wedding suppliers that fit with your wedding vision and style. There are thousands of incredible suppliers out there. But it is important to find the people who you connect with and that match your style.

8. Discount on Rental Collection

If you require any furniture or props to bring your design to life, you will receive a 20% discount off the full hire prices of our rental collection –The W Collection.

9. Optional on the day services.

After all your careful wedding planning, you may like someone to coordinate the day and ensure all your ideas are seamlessly brought together. You may therefore opt to add on-the-day wedding coordination and styling. I would be there throughout the day to set up and style your venue. I would be there to meet and direct your suppliers to where they are needed. And I would ensure that even the smallest of details are taken care of.

The W Mentor package is £1395 for everything listed from 1-8 above. And if you want to add the option of on the day coordination and styling, this service starts at £750. The final fee will be dependent on location and the complexity of your event.
