An Epic 3 Day English Country Wedding

‘A natural, organic, romantic wedding weekend, influenced by the venue and the surrounding English countryside’, with Katrina Otter & photography from the incredible husband and wife duo, The Curries. This beautiful English Country wedding of Alexa and David was certainly a weekend to remember!

The Setting

Set at the magical Wilderness Reserve in Suffolk, this 3 day English Country wedding was a truly epic experience for this lovely couple and their guests. With crazy unpredictable weather, they found themselves reverting to Plan ‘Bs’ and sometimes even Plan ‘Cs’ to avoid the rain. But that certainly didn’t diminish the beauty and enjoyment of the events they held throughout the weekend.

The Accommodation

With guests joining them from around the world, they wanted a venue that could accommodate everyone for a whole weekend of celebrations. Wilderness offers luxury accommodation both within the main house of Sibton Park, and guest houses and cottages around the grounds.

The Welcome BBQ

On Friday evening, they kick started their English country wedding weekend by hosting a relaxed welcome BBQ in the walled garden. With a stretch tent for shelter, the garden was decorated with festoon lighting from Dreamwave Events, Hay bales and Fire-pits.

The Ceremony

The walled garden was then transformed into their wedding ceremony on Saturday, with a glorious abundance of blooms from Moss and Stone

The Reception

Afterwards, their guests were treated to champagne, canapés and music in front of the main house. This was followed by a sumptuous three course meal from Mackenzie David Events. Dancing in the orangery and a late night ‘after party’ in the cellar completed their wedding day, but there was still more to come!…

The Farewell Party

A relaxed Sunday pool party also fell victim to the weather, but the cool vibes of a street food party in the stretch tent within the walled garden soon put any thoughts of swimming out of mind. Whilst drinking Margaritas and Canadian Caesars from their personalised bar, a live DJ kept the party going. Guests feasted on Pizzas, Strips n’ Fries and ‘Super Cheesy’ Mac n’ Cheese from food trucks.
